To provide necessary guidance and services to taxpayers and general public Inland Revenue Department operates, Customer Service & Promotion units located in the Ground Floor, 1st floor and the 2nd floor of the Inland Revenue head office at Sir Chittampalam A Gardiner Mawatha, Colombo 02.
Taxpayers and the general public can walk in to these units for the services required. There are two sections that divided into six units, available to offer different types of services as One Stop Shop.
Taxpayers and the general public can also contact the Call Centre of IRD for more information and clarifications regarding tax matters.
Monday to Friday : 9:00 am to 7:00 pmSaturday : 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Primary Registration Unit is for new registration activities of customers as taxpayers.
Tax Registration Unit, register taxpayers for any type of Tax Type.
Customer Information Update Unit update or change the profiles of the taxpayers.
Business Consultation Unit assist the walk-in customers regarding their tax matters providing consultation Service.
Customer supporting and Promotion Unit issue all the clearances to be issued by Inland Revenue Department to customers and sell the Department Publications to customers.
Central Document Management Unit collect all the document send by the tax payers to Inland Revenue Department
